Gran Meliá Xi'an

Gran Meliá Xi’an stands as a luxurious landmark in Xi’an, masterfully blending modern architecture with traditional Chinese elements.

Entrance & Exterior
At dusk, the hotel’s entrance is a vision of elegance. A large, geometric - shaped roof with warm yellow lighting highlights the stone facade. Four large red lanterns hang under the eaves, contrasting beautifully with the white water jets of the front fountain. The orange and blue hues of the sunset in the sky create a backdrop, where traditional elements (lanterns, symmetrical layout) and modern architecture (simple roof, glass curtain wall) coexist harmoniously, exuding both grandeur and vitality.

Guest Room Living Area
The living area in the guest room is luxurious and grand. A crystal chandelier cascades down, reflecting brilliant light. The dark wooden furniture (TV cabinet, coffee table) has a delicate texture, contrasting with the light beige marble floor. A gray velvet sofa is paired with red throw pillows, and a bright - colored orchid adorns the glass coffee table. A metal curved screen softens the space, and the large window screens filter in natural light, creating an elegant atmosphere within modern comfort.

Chinese Restaurant
The restaurant is dominated by red tones. The red carpet on the floor winds like a flowing water pattern, and metal hollow screens (scallop - shaped patterns) separate the areas, ensuring privacy while maintaining transparency. Crystal chandeliers cast warm light, and dark wooden dining tables and chairs are paired with beige upholstery. The window seats offer views of the city. The overall design combines traditional Chinese patterns (screens, carpets) with modern dining functions, creating an elegant dining atmosphere.

This hotel is a microcosm of Xi’an’s blend of ancient and modern. From the entrance lanterns to the guest room crystal chandeliers, and from the restaurant’s red carpets to the building’s geometric lines, every detail tells a luxurious story of “traditional soul, modern shell”.
